Reconciliation
Rite of Reconciliation contains these basic elements: confession, sorrow for sin, a penance, and absolution. The celebration emphasizes a special moment in the Church’s public worship. There is opportunity for communal celebrations with private confession during Advent and Lent. Weekly private confession opportunities are listed on our home page.
Preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation for children is usually begun in 2nd grade in the school and the in the FLOCK program (see religious education)
For adults who wish to become Catholic, preparation is completed during the RCIA process (See our Faith Formation tab on the home page for more information).
