Each of the following groups perform works of mercy for people in our nearby communities, and depend entirely on volunteers. More information is available for each ministry. See the parish bulletin.
BLOOD DRIVE
Blood drives benefiting the Hoxworth Blood Center are held twice a year. Volunteers are needed to plan and organize the blood drives, and especially to donate blood.
BREAD RUNNERS
Bread Runners pick up breads and pastries from different outlets and deliver them to area agencies that provide food for the poor.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Habitat for Humanity is an international organization that builds homes for those in need. Parishioners gather to help with local projects. Volunteers are needed to assist at a home building site for the East Side Coalition of Habitat for Humanity, or to help make lunches for workers.
PARISH LIFE COMMISSION
Identifies needs and makes recommendations to Parish Council in support of parish community development, social outreach and fund-raising initiatives.
ST VINCENT dePAUL
Our mission is to help our neighbors with rent, electricity, water and food as well as having access to a free pharmacy, food pantry, vouchers for clothing, furniture and prescription eyeglasses. This group meets on the third Monday of the month at 9:00 a.m
TENDER MERCIES
Parish teams take turns providing and serving dinners for 40 people on the first Monday of the month at one of the shelters run by downtown Cincinnati agency, Tender Mercies. New team members are welcome.
TURKEY AND MEATBALL MINISTRY
Turkeys which have been cooked, sliced, and frozen in parish homes are collected at the parish and delivered to Our Daily Bread soup kitchen around Thanksgiving and Christmas. This group provides a nice meal for hundreds of people during the holidays. Cooks needed!
Every week, Our Daily Bread Food Shelter serves spaghetti and meatballs to the needy. Volunteers cook meatballs in their homes and donate them on a weekly basis to provide for those meals at Our Daily Bread.
RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE DINNER
We prepare and serve dinner once a year for The Ronald McDonald House guests.. The dinner is usually in February or March.
WITNESS FOR LIFE
Witness for Life seeks to educate parishioners about right-to-life issues, as well as promoting events that celebrate the right-to-life. Their goal is to educate and promote respect for life from conception to natural death to all.
